Your dream role:

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commodity Manager to join our successful, international business.
You’ll develop best-in-class commodity strategies for the procurement of key body and electrical components, sourcing new suppliers which improve cost, quality, delivery and innovation.
Build strong, strategic partnerships with our suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective solution without compromising on quality or availability of supply.
Use your solid commercial acumen to negotiate commercial and contractual terms, monitoring and managing risk, and ensuring stability of supply.
Meet annual PPV and VIP savings targets, improving bottom line profitability.
You’ll work alongside a team of buyers and procurement engineers, as well as closely with colleagues in Design Engineering on Design For Cost and early supplier involvement in new product development.
Opportunities like this don’t come along often – you will have exposure to a wide range of senior stakeholders and complex projects globally.

What you will bring:

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (or equivalent), along with a proven track record of everything from strategic sourcing, supplier selection and qualification through to supplier relationship and performance management.
Ideally this experience will be from the Automotive industry, but we would welcome those from any other relevant and technical industry.
Solid commercial and business acumen as you will regularly negotiate with our suppliers. You’ll have a proven ability to navigate competing objectives and reach an intelligent compromise.
Relationship building will come easily to you, across all levels of seniority both internally and externally.
You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, constantly striving to improve the way we do things.
Things can be hectic here. You’ll remain calm under pressure, be able to multi-task and deliver projects on time.
Generally, someone who adds to our culture – approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
