Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting our Manufacturing client based in Falkirk with the appointment of a Finance Manager. This will be on an initial 6-month basis with a view of it going permanent.

The Role

The role holder will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and driving financial performance. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Management of a team of 3
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to the management team.
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial results.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial audits and tax filings.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders

Experience required

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting standards.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting & forecasting
  • Proficient in financial software and systems, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
