Maintenance Scheduler 

Location: Grangemouth

Lead Maintenance Scheduler


Ability to produce a feasible programme of activities from a given scope of work.
Communication skills to liaise with all relevant parties to report accurate contract status.
An ability to anticipate and highlight critical programme areas for management action.
Fluency in Primavera P6 and excel to provide prompt accurate and regular information.
Awareness of the technical implications and interfaces to be able to programme work effectively.
Provide accurate labour forecasts and identify risks to contract.
Ability to provide clear and consistent data reporting to senior management.
Awareness of the impact of planning on safety, quality and cost considerations.
Lead and chair meetings


Key Accountabilities

To produce all necessary programmes at the appropriate times to reflect the overall contract requirements.
To monitor and update all contract programmes by relevant discussion with all relevant parties.
To incorporate emergent works effectively into existing programmes.
Chair weekly schedule performance meetings with the team and track against KPI’s.
To report progress against programme on a regular basis and present disturbance and impact to the ‘ 2 weekly frozen schedule’ caused by unforeseen delays within working week.


Key Duties

Produce programme of works
Monitor programme continually against performance
Incorporate programme variations
Programme report to client/management
Anticipate problem areas regarding critical paths and advise remedial action.
Allocate the estimate costs to the activities on the programme and assist in the baselining of the programme.
Analyse Earned Value Performance on across maintenance and projects works.



Sufficient and appropriate Maintenance Planning Engineer experience.   
Sufficient and appropriate experience in Petrochemical, Power & Process Industry Sectors.
Understanding  / experience of SIP trades (Scaffold, Insulation, Painting/ Protective coatings, PFPP).
Experience in leading, motivating and performance management.
Experience of working in a high pressure multi deliverable environment.
Ability to drive and implement change and continuous improvement.



4 years’ experience of undertaking a similar role within Maintenance environment.
Accredited P6 Certification (Mandatory).
APMP Practitioner.
Advanced Excel.
Experience working with MMS systems (for example Maximo, SAP etc.).
