Information Services now have an opportunity for a technical expert to join the Information Services Team which provides a comprehensive information service to NHS Forth Valley.
Aligned to the Acute Services Scheduled Care Team, dealing in Waiting Times and Elective Care activity, this exciting post will help drive forward our SQL business intelligence products in all aspects of the work of the department as well as providing Acute Services and partners, via complex analysis and interpretation of data, the information to facilitate operational and strategic decision making. You will be leading on technical information developments and providing technical advice and solutions to other team members and external business users within various parts of the Health Board. As a technical specialist within Information Services you will develop, manage and maintain information databases, requiring knowledge of all aspects of SQL Reports development, Integration, SQL Server administration, data extraction, automation of statistical reports.
A highly numerate graduate, or equivalent, you will have significant relevant experience in information analyst work, ideally in healthcare, and you will have significant experience of SQL, Excel VBA and possibly other data programming tools. You will be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal team working abilities. The department serves many ad-hoc requests and ability to prioritise among multiple, sometimes conflicting demands is essential.
