As our new team member, you'll play a crucial role in managing generation and fuel data for a variety of renewable projects, from biomass and anaerobic digestion to combined heat and power and heat pumps. You'll put your expertise in data analysis to work, helping to shape the future of renewable energy and make a real impact on the environment.
Your Energy Source is a growing company and a UK leader in renewable energy grant applications. Our aim is to make renewables easy; by ripping down barriers to increase the uptake of clean technologies.
About the role
As a key member of our team, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities that will keep you engaged and challenged on a daily basis. In this role, you will:
· Collect, analyse and submit energy and fuel consumption data to calculate greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring our customers get paid for their green energy.
· Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test, and take on numerical challenges with an innovative approach.
· Take charge of managing the expansion of our technical data support service, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and support to our clients.
· Build strong relationships with our customers to ensure their satisfaction with our service.
Essential skills:
· Good understanding of thermodynamics and electrical energy production and storage technologies (renewables experience or general engineering degree)
· A high level of numeracy and a talent for numerical analysis, this should include experience of working with large and complex sets of data.
· Degree with strong data analysis focus; for example: engineering, physics, mathematics, data science, renewable energy or relevant industry experience.
· Experience of working independently and managing your own time.
· Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels. You should be confident in your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and provide regular feedback to management
· Ability to prioritise to deliver consistently to promised deadlines
· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and comfortable learning new computing skills
Desirable skills:
· Direct experience of the CHPQA, RHI or RO schemes
· Entrepreneurial outlook
· Driving licence
