We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supplies Team in Larbert as a Senior Buyer.

The Senior Buyer will influence and encourage procurement change and engagement across the business where applicable, executing the procurement strategies to meet Certas business goals and ensuring compliance with processes. The role will focus on supporting the groups (and other DCC businesses) indirect procurement up to a total category spend of £60m pa. You will play a key role in training and managing the junior team members within the function. There may requirements to deputise for the Director of Indirect Procurement as and when required. In this role you will be expected to show demonstrable experience in varied and challenging tenders at pace to drive best value for our organisation.

What we are looking for:

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Experience of negotiating best value and managing supply and customer contracts for long term relationships
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • ​​​​​​​Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate with various business functions
  • Strong presentation skills and experienced user of office suite packages
  • Evidence of end-to-end management of the contracting process
  • Strategic mindset
  • MCIPS preferred (or working toward)
  • Ability to regularly travel and meet suppliers across the UK
  • Education at A Levels or Highers with a strong ability in Maths and English
