A quick look at the role

A fantastic opportunity to be part of the Biffa team in delivering a new recycling venture, which is a first for Scotland and the UK. Your initial focus will be to support with the recruitment agenda and the opening of new facilities, ahead of the contract launch in August 2023.

The Service Delivery Manager will be reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing the overall efficient and effective delivery of the Sites daily operations. Ensuring exceptionally high levels of customer service are maintained at all times, whilst delivering on the Contract’s KPIs and ensuring that your Traffic office team deliver their daily goals. Your traffic office team are the heartbeat of the operation liaising with drivers and ensuring the daily site operation runs safely and effectively.

Developing and maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal/external customers.

Requirements

Your core responsibilities

  • Proven track record of working to clearly defined KPI’s.
  • Good people skills and be able to stay focussed in a tough and demanding environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical process environment.
  • Experience of people and health and safety management within a logistics industry.
  • The ability to communicate with conviction, plan with precision.
  • IT literate – comfortable using business software and systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of vehicle management – CPC, tachos, Road Transport Directive
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate data.
  • Experience of producing and analysing reports using Microsoft Office
  • Local geographical knowledge
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
